To investigate the blast resistance of point-supported laminated glass curtain wall, 9 site blast testswere carried out, considering 2 types of glass thickness and 6 differentTNTcharges from 0.4 kg to 30 kg.The overpressure and displacement were measured and the failure mode was observed. The tests demonstrated that the overpressure suddenly increased and quickly decayed within a few milliseconds; the displacement response of the glass curtain wall increased with the increase in TNT charge and decreases with the increase of the glass thickness; the final failure mode was featured by tearing off of PVB at the support of the laminated glass panel while the glass shards still adhered to the PVB. Nonlinear dynamic finite element simulation agrees well with the results from the blast tests. Severe stress concentration has been predicted at the rim of the support holes and leads to the failure at these supports, and this also agrees with the failure mode observed from the blast test.
