The key of electro-hydraulic proportional by-wire steering system in elevated platform truck was electro-hydraulic proportional control technology. In the paper, we would firstly set up mathematical model to steering hydraulic system. and the simulation of Simulink were set up. Dynamic characteristics of vehicle by-wire steering system were analyzed through simulation after joining the PID control algorithm. Moreover, when we gained K<,p> = 7.8、K<,l>= 19. 5 and K<,D>= O. 546 after simulation, systemic responses were better, and dynamic characteristics and control accuracy were improved
