DuPont Company has patented new flame-retarded product which has physical properties close to that of current glass re-enforced polyamides flame retarded with a combination of brominated polystyrene and synergists. This new product primarily contains melamine pyrophosphate as the flame retardant agent. Commercial production is being evaluated for possible introduction before year end 1999.
