In the past years, various new materials and mixtures for fabricating photovoltaic devices have been proposed for higher conversion efficiencies and lower cost processes (1,2). Organic solar cells are being investigated for their potential use in the clean conversion of solar energy through large-area solar panels (3, 4, and 5). Academic attention has focused on blends of poly (3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and [6, 6]-phenyl C61-butyc acid methyl ester (PCBM) since these two materials show the highest power conversion efficiency in their bulkheterojunction, which is around 5% (6).
