Abstract: In the last few years, a new technique for measuring intraocular distances has been developed. It is based on interferometry using partially coherent light beams. A special dual beam illumination technique eliminates any influence of eye motions on the results. With this technique, several intraocular distances - corneal thickness, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness, axial eye length, and retinal thickness - were measured with unprecedented precision. !20
