This paper presents the performance of the Navigation Payload (NAV P/L) embarked on Artemis Spacecraft to provide an augmentation to the GPS infrastructures, for use by civil aviation, maritime and land users. Similar system are being developed in other regions, namely the North American WAAS and the Japanese MSAS, in order to provide World-Wide seamless satellite-based augmentation services.rnIt presents the rationale for the use of GEO Artemis S/C for navigation control capability of the EGNOS (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) system and, then, the system requirements to be met. Practical implementation of the payload is also discussed.
