The new Arinaga sewage outfall (Gran Canaria Island, Spain) goes through the existing infrastructure in the port in order to reach arngreat depth to avoid exposing the pipe to wave action. This is achieved thanks to an ingenious idea that allows the pipe to passrnthrough the precast caisson. The rest of the pipeline was placed safely on the seabed at a significant depth.
