3D detailing software has revolutionized the detailing industry.Drawings can be prepared quicker and more accurately than they were just a few years ago.Hip and valley roof systems can be viewed in a 3D model and problems averted before the steel structure ever reaches the field.For a detailer working in a 2D cad system or drafting by hand,the transition to 3D detailing can be overwhelming.This presentation will focus on the pros and cons of 3D detailing in hip and valley roof systems,and provide 2D detailers with a general knowledge of what to look for when shifting to 3D.
