摘要

Fullerenes have been synthesised at lab-scale in macroscopic quantities by graphite arc method. An attempt has been made to produce fullerenes in continuous run by a constant arc graphite ablator. Many stages of development have been successfully achieved and in the process scientific and technical problems encountered were efficiently overcome. Production of fullerenes is enhanced from milligram level to gram level production per day. Graphite ablator was accordingly modified and thus a smooth functioning and an improved production with respect to quality and quantity obtained.
