PLD Co_(0.08)-Ag_(0.92) films irradiated by excimer laser at different energy fluences have been studied. The as deposited samples showed a fraction of very small (φ< 10 nm) Co particles which determines a magnetic and transport behaviour typical of an ensamble of superparamagnetic grains. After irradiation, Ag grains size increases up to 50 nm and a Co nucleation at the Ag grains boundaries has been observed. After laser annealing and in the low field region (H < 1 kOe) the field sensitivity (δGMR/δH) of the irradiated samples increases by a factor 2 in the whole investigated temperature range (10 - 300 K). The presence of a small fraction of blocked Co nanoparticles can be related with the increase of GMR sensitivity.
