The kraft bamboo pulp was treated with three laccases alone or those laccases combined with HBT (1-hydroxybenzotriazole), subsequently bleached with QP sequences. The results showed that the pulp lost less viscosity with OLQP bleaching sequence compared with CEH bleaching when the pulps were bleached to the same brightness. In general, the viscosity of the pulp bleached with OLQP was 43.3%~56.2% higher than that with CEH when the same brightness of pulps got. The oxygen delignified kraft bamboo pulps treated with the laccase from white rot fungus Flammulina velutipes in the presence of HBT could be bleached with QP bleaching to 80.7 % ISO brightness and 800 mL/g viscosity. Moreover, the laccase from Flammulina velutipes could degrade lignin without HBT. The pulp was bleached to 76.7 % ISO brightness with OL~0QP (without HBT), which was 23.2 % ISO higher than that with OQP bleaching.
