摘要

The management and monitoring with high level of security of pipelines in areas that are subject to geological instability phenomena is the goal of a long and detailed reasearch programme promoted and financiallly supported by SNAM since '92. Within this programme a hybrid, neuro-fuzzy, expert system functioning as an active support in the evaluation of risk parameters has been built as part of an interdisciplinary study conducted together by Aquater, SNAM and ITIM of CNR of Milan. The salient aspects are the use of fuzzy logic to represent and manipulate descriptive knowledge and strategies, the integration of direct structured interview techniques and learning-by-example paradigms to address the knowledge acquisition task.
