Bloomgard 57~(TM), a novel brominated flame retardant system based on bisphenol derivative was successfully developed for unfilled polyolefins applications where low or no bloom or plate - out is critical. The key performance features of this system include: very low blooming in wide variety of polypropylene homopolymers and copolymers, excellent thermal and color stability, improved processability, melt blendable for ease of processing. UL-94 V-2 flammability performance was observed in some of the PP resins evaluated under a loading of 12
