摘要

The combination of low chirp Quantum dash directly modulated lasers with an optical filter have shown promising data transmission performances with 10Gb/s transmission distances in the range of 0-100 km, in full compliance with the current standardization requirements for NGPON2. This paper describes in details the operation of such transmitters, including the enhancement in modulation bandwidth of laser induced by the passive filter.
