Traditional AUV development has involved designing arnvehicle, making it operational and then fitting availablernsensors to it. The Thales approach has been to integrate thernvehicle and sensor systems during the design stage. This hasrnproduced a highly integrated system that is smaller and lighterrnthan contemporary designs. This paper describes the results ofrnthis integration and the performance of the vehicle and sensorsrnproduced by the design.
