摘要

Assessing risk to subsea infrastructure from submarine mass movement events is becoming increasinglyrnimportant as operators move in to deep-water environments characterized by evidence of prior massrnmovement activity. An integral part of this assessment is modelling the behavior of potential sedimentrnflows, and their interaction with infrastructure. This paper presents two advanced debris flow models usedrnin industry, and emphasizes the importance of appropriate high quality soils testing when choosing modelrnparameters through an idealized case study, as well as a hypothetical flow simulated on real worldrnbathymetry.
