Recent developments of new architectures targeting safe LNGrntransfer at sea in exposed locations – therefore in real dynamicrnconditions – reveal the need for development of several keyrncomponents of the transfer system serving these architectures.rnThese key components are the following:rnThe cryogenic flexible hose. The 16" internal diameterrnhose has been developed by Technip-Coflexip with thernsupport of a Joint Industry Program sponsored by BHP, BP,rnChevron, Gaz de France and Shell, based on a previous 8"rndesign. The dynamic tests in cryogenic conditions have beenrnperformed in 2001-2002 at Technip-Coflexip manufacturingrnplant. The hose can be produced in a single piece with lengthrnup to 100 m, which covers all the needs of LNG transferrnsystems. This product is fully described in OTC 2003 paperrn15400 (reference [2]).
