This paper describes a concept for subsea coiled tubing wellrnintervention, without the use of a workover riser system.rnCoiled tubing analyses and design, surface and subsearnequipment design, vessel and operational requirements andrnlimitations are addressed.rnThe novel steps in the development are the lubricatorrnsystem, where the lubricator resides on top of the injector, andrnthe use of a tensioned coiled tubing configuration with a heaverncompensation system and a second coiled tubing injectorrnat surface.rnA comparative risk assessment has been performed, andrnconcluded that the overall personell and environmental risk isrnthe same or reduced compared to a workover riserrnbased system.
