Abstract: In this paper a method is proposed to generate hypotheses about the existence of man-made objects from an aerial photograph. These hypotheses are used as the initial estimates for an estimation procedure that results in a volumetric scene description. The hypothesizing method is based on relaxation and bipartite matching. Its input consists of a description of the regions in the image, as found by a segmentation procedure. The output consists of 3D primitive objects. !18
