摘要

Abstract: We report on the results of using the optical coherencetomography (OCT) as one of the diagnostic methods atthe Department of Gynecology of the Nizhny NovgorodRegional Hospital. An endoscopic OCT device adjustedfor gynecological examinations with colposcopy,hysteroscopy and laparoscopy has been developed at theInstitute of Applied Physics. It provides clinicianswith sharp (up to 15 - 20 micron resolution) images of1.5 mm thick superficial mucosa layers in the femalegenital tract, that are recorded at the 0.83 micronwavelength with approximately 1 frame/second rate for a200 $MUL 200 pixel image. Data obtained duringexamination of more than 100 patients demonstrate thecapability of OCT in estimation of structuralalterations in organs, connected with different typesof pathologies and functional states of the femalegenital system. We present first results of OCTapplication to assess the adequacy of cervicalpathologies treatment (electro-, laser surgery andcryotherapy) and to control the healing process. !8
