Abstract: A Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer-based broadband infrared polarimeter has been developed around a pair of high-quality Brewster angle polarizers. These polarizers consist of four Ge plates in a chevron geometry and have been measured to have extinction ratios of less than 10$+$MIN@5$/ at four laser wavelengths from 0.63 micrometer to 10.6 micrometer. The polarimeter has been used to characterize wire-grid polarizers from 1 micrometer to 12 micrometer, as well as for full Mueller matrix determination from 1 micrometer to 5 micrometer using a rotating-retarder arrangement with a pair of MgF$-2$/ retarders. !8
