This paper examines undergraduate EngineeringrnManagement programs accredited by thernAccreditation Board for Engineering and Technologyrn(ABET) with the objective of determining EM topicsrnand their weight in the programs.rnABET is the acknowledged accreditationrnstandard for engineering schools. While ABETrncriteria has changed from more detailed criteria tornoutcomes assessment there is still a definable body ofrnknowledge by discipline.rnAnalyzing these topics and the weight theyrnoccupy in the curriculum can be used as a guide inrnestablishing an EM Body of Knowledge. They canrnalso be used to help determine the weight of testrnquestions to certify engineering managers.rnEM programs that are ABET accredited arerntaught at the University of Missouri at Rolla, StevensrnInstitute of Technology and United States MilitaryrnAcademy at West Point. ABET lists other schoolsrnunder EM but they combine other disciplines likernIndustrial Engineering. The one ABET graduate EMrnprogram was excluded in this analysis.
