摘要

Discussions of classification system design are limited to providing technical 'recipes,'rnlacking detailed " how-to's." In addition, previous literature has addressed collaboration inrnclassification system design; however, there has been a lack of discussion on howrncollaborative system design could be formed, or on the benefits and challenges that exist inrnsystem design. This study aims to introduce a generic design model of a collaborativernclassification system with technical 'recipes'. A collaborative model for classification systemrndesign involves diverse stakeholders and describes how collaboration works throughout therndesign process. The limitations of the current discussion of classification system design andrnthe value of collaborative design are investigated. The results of a case study in the field ofrnKorean Traditional Performing Arts and a design structure adopted within that field arernpresented. It is also noted that a collaborative model adopts process analysis techniquesrnfrom social process models. The paper discusses the benefits of collaborative design inrnrelation to specifying roles and tasks of stakeholders as well as the challenges ofrncollaborative design in classification system.
