Intensive oil and gas exploration activity took place in the Beaufort Sea during the 1970s andrn1980s. There was a considerable amount of research performed and new, valuable knowledgernwas gained. However the information is spread over a wide range of locations. This paperrnprovides a brief overview of the activity and provides guidance on the type and location of datarnrelevant to offshore operations in ice-covered waters.
