This apper deals with a trial hybrid motor which is combined a rotary induction motor and a linear induction motor, what is called rotary-linear induction motor. A brief description of the principle an structure of a trial RLIM is presented. First, for RIM the validity of the teeoretical characteristics and the effectiveness of improvement of the performance as a servomotor by increasing the secondary resistance are shown. Next, for LIM the experimental characteristics and the validity of the theoretical characteristics at stndstill and additionally the prediction of a load characteristics are shown.
