摘要

Two units of 500 T/H x 150 MW petcokern(with high content of sulfur as 6.5% and thernby-product of a refinery located in Mailiao,rnTaiwan) fired CFB power plant which EPCrnturnkey by Formosa Heavy Industries Corp.rnAre already in operation from the end of 2002rnafter half year commissioning. The units arernthe lowest emission and the largest CFB boilerrnfiring petcoke in the world.rnSpecification for boiler is CFB with 500 T/Hrnx 130 kg/cm2 x 541 oC, for turbine-generatorrnis 150 MW and with maximum extractionrnsteam as 150 T/H to refinery process. Gasrnemission requirement is (at 6% O2) 60 ppmrnfor Nox by adding selective non-catalyticrnNox reduction system (SNCR), 50 ppm forrnSox by adding dry type scrubber and 25rnmg/Nm3 for dust by adding bag filter (it’s anrnintegrated system). Due to high sulfur content,rnhigh amount limestone, 1,000 ton per day,rnshall be dosed and 1,000 ton per day ashrngenerated per 2,000-ton petcoke fired.rnThis paper will describe the start-up andrnoperation experience. It especially will focusrnon the following: refractory dry out procedurernand result, furnace temperature / pressurernprofile, limestone and petcoke crushingrnsystem, crushed size effect on the combustionrnand the de-sulfurization rate, fluidizing nozzlernand system, boiler start-up and shut-downrncharacteristics, combustion tuning, automaticrncombustion control, cyclone separatorrnperformance, seal pot running condition,rnplugging possibility and the transportation ofrnfly ash with high gypsum content and so on.And we will also see the operational tuning ofrnemission control device of SNCR, integratedrndry scrubber and bag filter.rnSurely performance date of boiler side fromrnvarious design aspect be shown and discussedrnto see the operation performance of these two largest petcoke firing CFB boilers.
