The style of Japanese packaging design pursues a return to origin and nature. It combinescommerce and environmental protection with culture and art felicitously. The natural beauty is sounique that achieves popular favor and the admiration of all people in the world. This article starts withthe style of Japanese convenience food's packaging design, to summarize, there are four main categories.They are expertly designed, environmentally friendly, lightweight, and simple to operate. Then try toanalyze the features and research into the causes behind the characteristics from two points of view, onephilosophical, and the other aesthetic. In addition, this article will be extended to the causes of environmentalawareness and a comprehensive analysis of commercial perspective. Green design is the mainstreamof contemporary design, which is mainly reflected in the choice of materials. Considering environmentalprotection and also cost, it is necessary to pay attention to materials in order to achieve themaximum business value, and enable consumers to purchase and feel the experience of beauty and culturesimultaneously. The Success of Japanese packaging design fully deserves our attention and learning,moreover, it offers an important inspiration to Chinese designer.
