There is a close connection between spinning technology of synthetic fibers and formation of skin- core structure. In this article, the influence of both the skin thickness and the difference of skin- core refractive index to internal reflection were analyzed with the aid of the internal reflection's Descartes ray. Some liquid with certain refractive index was put in a thin-wall glass tube and the goniophotometric curves were tested in order to confirms the conclusion of theoretical analysis. It is indicated that the difference of fiber's skin-core refractive index influences the Descartes ray's reflection angel more, compared to the change of skin thickness. The raise of refractive index difference will make the Descartes ray's reflection angle increase.
