With the passenger volume growing and high-speed railway technology developing, ballastless tracks are widely applied in high-speed railway in China. This demands that the settlement of subgrade be controlled more strictly. Otherwise, the safety and travelling comfort can not be met while running in high speed. Cement-Flyash-Gravel (CFG) pile is a widely used ground improvement technique. This study presents a numerical simulation of CFG treatment for Wuhan-Guangzhou ballastless passenger railway line. Furthermore, the dynamic consolidation treatment is also simulated. Comparing the results of these two methods, it can be concluded that the CFG pile treatment is more suitable to the geology of this project.
