In current transitional time, Chinese coal industry urgently needs to transform patterns of development. In order to promote coal companies to develop in healthy and sustainable way, when evaluating their performance, we should consider not only financial performance but also performance in other three aspects, including: safety, environmental conservation and utilization of resources, and social contribution.A coal corporate performance evaluation model is put forward and is used to evaluate the performance of listed coal companies in China, taking use of composite index method. The result reveals that even the first class companies don't do well in all the four aspects and Chinese coal companies have to work hard in a long period of time in transforming development patterns.

机译：在当前的过渡时期，中国煤炭工业迫切需要转变发展方式。为了促进煤炭公司以健康，可持续的方式发展，在评估其绩效时，我们不仅应考虑财务绩效，而且还应考虑其他三个方面的绩效，包括：安全，环境保护和资源利用以及社会贡献。提出了煤炭企业绩效评价模型，运用综合指数法对我国煤炭上市公司的绩效进行了评价。结果表明，即使是一流的公司在这四个方面的表现也不尽如人意，中国的煤炭公司必须长期努力地转变发展方式。
