摘要

A new gradient mean based sub-windowed (GMSW) sequence is presented for the detection of radar pulse in a noisy wide band time domain environment. For detecting the signal accurately from the variable noise floor, a suitable threshold value is derived based on energy detection. First, the wide band time domain signal is divided into several sub-windowed sequences. Then the gradient mean of the sub-windowed sequence is computed and compared with the threshold to accurately differentiate the signal from noise. The proposed algorithm achieves high detection probability at low signal to noise ratio (SNR). The Algorithm is further simulated in both MATLAB and VDSP++ environment (BF533).
