The aim of this investigation is to study the dynamic behavior of the Moshampa earth dam (Iran),rnconsidering dam-foundation interaction, under normalized Manjil earthquake as input motion. In orderrnto assess the effect of the foundation widths in the finite element model on the earthquake response,rnvarious dam-foundation coupled models are analyzed by Plaxis, a finite element package for solvingrngeotechnical problems. The results indicate considerable differences in the seismic responses.
