摘要

A slope at km 8.25, Jelawang – Gua Musang Road, in the State of Kelantan is known for its slowrnmoving slide or creep since its construction more than 25 years ago. Recently various types ofrngeotechnical instrumentations were installed at the site to record rainfall, ground water level, soilrnmoisture and the ground movements with the aim to correlate landslide movements with the measuredrnparameters. Preliminary results of the captured dataset show that there are relationships betweenrnrainfall, groundwater fluctuation and landslide movement: rainfall causes rising of groundwater levelrnand rising of ground water level results in ground movement. Background of the site, landslide,rnsurface and sub-surface investigation works, installations of selected geotechnical instrumentationsrnand preliminary results of monitoring will be presented in this paper.
