1. RAM-T requirements for FCS are challenging and absolutely essential to the program and FCS platforms mission success; 2. These requirements pose challenges that cannot be met using past practices; 3. Operational Availability and Maintenance Ratio depends on combined contributions of high reliability, efficient maintenance and expedient logistics; 4. FCS Management has committed budget to RAM design influence 4.1 Implementing the RAM-T Case Approach with additional dollars in reliability investment; 4.2 Early Design Focus on failure mode mitigation and Pit Stop Engineering. 5. Assessments allow us to determine RAM performance gaps as well as measure our successes; 6. We rely on continuous interchange with, and good work from, our partners and their suppliers, and seek good ideas and best practices from industry.
