摘要

How to govern outsourcing alliances and develop successful long-term relations in BPO setting is worthy of research. This paper explores the impact of business process modularity on relational contracts by modeling a repeated game. The results show that business process modularity reduces the motivation of the clients to encourage the vendor's effort and thus promotes the application of low-powered incentive contracts. In addition, business process modularity withers the existence of relational contracts, facilitating the utilization of formal contracts.
