Intelligent traffic markings management (ITMM) includes the test for traffic markings' rationalization,the automatic settings of traffic markings,and the property management. As ITMM requires road information,after analyzing the existent GIS-T data models,the road data model for ITMM is created,which includesinformation of basic road attributes,lane and traffic flow changes. Then,traffic markings are classified forITMM,followed by an analysis of setting relations between traffic markings of different types,which confirmsthe setting orders. The state function set is also determined to describe traffic markings. At last,theconceptual data model of traffic markings is given,followed by an application example.
