COMBINATION OF GOCE DATA WITH COMPLEMENTARY GRAVITY FIELD INFORMATION

GOCO (“Gravity Observation Combination“) is arnproject initiative in the frame of ESA’s GOCE Data AO.rnThe main objective is to compute high-accuracy andrnhigh-resolution static global gravity field models basedrnon data of the satellite gravity missions CHAMP,rnGRACE, and GOCE, terrestrial gravity field, satelliternaltimetry, and SLR data. As a first product, the satelliteonlyrnmodel GOCO01S was computed, which representsrnthe first consistent combination of GOCE and GRACErndata. These satellite-only models are being successivelyrnimproved by including more data, but also CHAMP andrnSLR normal equations, as it was done for the successorrnmodel GOCO02S. In the near future, these satellite-onlyrnmodels will be complemented by combined globalrngravity models also incorporating terrestrial gravity andrnsatellite altimetry data.
