Numerical Simulation of Gas Explosion Flame Propagation Affected by Obstacle

摘要

The propagation of gas explosion flame will have some changes after obstacles are encountered. Therefore, FLUENT is used to simulate the impact of obstacles on the flame propagation of gas explosion. The results show that, obstacles can increase the turbulence of un —reacted gas, therefore, the flame front area is increased and the reaction is exacerbated. The number and location of obstacles have an important effect on the propagation process of flame. The increase in number of obstacles can increase the flame propagation speed and when the location of obstacles are close to the ignition source, the degree of turbulence of the explosion flame front is greater, and the propagation speed is also faster. Some reference can be provided by this study for the formulation of coal mine explosion -proof measures.
