While Greenstone is a versatile tool for creating andrnmanaging digital collections, its interface is not wellrnsuited for senior users. As we age, our usabilityrnrequirements for software change; the mismatch betweenrninterfaces designed for (and by) younger members ofrnsociety and the interface usability requirements of thernelderly can make software less usable for the elderly.rnThis paper reports on an intensive usability study of thernGreenstone ‘Librarian’ interface (supporting collectionrndevelopment and maintenance) with senior participants.rnThe findings of this study contribute to a re-design ofrnGreenstone for senior users.
