Active lime was used to produce Ca(OH)2 fine power.And then Ca(OH)2 fine power with analytically pure CeO2 fine power 0, 0.2wt%, 0.4wt%, 0.6wt%,0.8wt% and 1.0wt% respectively were mixed via wet mixing.After drying and ball milling, the specimens were pressed and fired at 1450 ℃, 1500 ℃, 1550 ℃,1600 ℃ and 1650 ℃ respectively.The hydration resistance of the sample was evaluated by measuring the mass gain after soaking the samples in a chamber kept at 20 ℃ and 90% relative humidity.The influence of CeO2 and calcine temperature on the hydration resistance of CaO aggregates were investigated by bulk density, apparent porosity, XRD, SEM and EDS analysis.The results show that: (1) The sintering of CaO aggregate was promoted by CeO2 addition and the hydration resistance of CaO aggregate was improved;(2) CeO2 mainly located in CaO grain boundary, some CeO2 dissolved in the CaO grains which improves CaO sintering;(3) The appropriate calcination temperature is 1550 ℃.When calcine temperature under 1550 ℃,the samples are sintered inadequately.The density and hydration resistance of CaO aggregate was nearly stable when calcine temperature over 1550 ℃.
