In this paper, it is reviwed the development of Chinese dam safety monitoring facilities in this forty years, and emphasized on the rapid development in the near twenty years. At the same time, it is compared the situations of aborad and domestic, and presented some effective advice for the development of Chinese dam safety monitoring technique and system.
