This paper describes the measurement of ppmw levels of water in a hydrocarbon stream usingrnproprietary HTF? Al2O3 sensor technology. The challenges of attaining such a measurementrnwith various technologies will be addressed along with theory of operation, test data and plantrninstallation results. Emphasis will be placed on the practical use of the technology in real worldrnapplications. Measurement, calibration and validation techniques as well as sample systemrnconsiderations will be addressed.
