To have a proper energy management in buildings, itrnis necessary to evaluate its HVAC system.rnTo properly compare operating strategies and solvernpossible problems, one needs to reproduce thernbuilding and its HVAC system behavior under realrnlife conditions (building materials, cooling, heatingrnand ventilation demands, meteorological conditions,rnetc.). For this reason we developed a simulationrnmodel of the entire system (building and HVAC) tornprovide this information.rnThis paper explains the energy audit we made in arnsmall Spanish airport: data collection, thermographicrninspection, TRNSYS simulation and on-fieldrnmeasurements to validate the model.
