This paper presents; the evaluation, of the impact of arnCO2-based DCV system, which was performed byrncomputer simulation. A subroutine was developed, andrnthen integrated, using the Functional Values feature,rnwithin a model of a large existing office building, whichrnwas developed using the MICRO-DOE2 software,rnversion E. Since the CO2-based DCV system has to bernintegrated with a conventional control system, whichrnmaintains the desired mixing air temperature, the impactrnon the indoor air quality and the energy performance ofrnthe building depends on the type of conventional control.rnThe reduction of annual energy cost is evaluated to bernbetween 3 and 7.6%, and the annual energy consumptionrnbetween 1.1 and 4.9%.
