A collaborative building design environment has beenrnproposed to integrate, together both the heterogeneousrnapplications and the dispersed project particípants.rnBased on the functional requirements identified, thernconventional building product models have beenrnextended to incorporate high-level concepts such asrnactivity and organisation. Which are essential forrncoordination, and a generic humanhuman interactionrnmodel has been developed, which could not only makernthe building domain models interaction-aware, but alsornserve as a base model for developing generalrninteraction utilities. Collaborative desion environmentrnprototypin- has been desoribed.. Covering the commonrnproject workspace, general interaction utilities andrnmultiuser interfaces. Three distribution schernes forrnimplementing the common project workspace within arndistributed environment have also been discussed.
