capability for precision-manufacturing in ultra-pure silica glass by sol-gel moulding is demonstrated. The products, three dimensional, ideally isotropic; might be manufactured on any geometry compatible with state of the art moulding; Net-Shape manufacturing to an Accuracy of 50 #mu# m is feasible now.
