摘要

Based on the principles of Chinese character systems, this article puts forward a scheme to realize Japanese character processing function. In order to solve the conflict between Chinese and Japanese character codings, a commonly-used Japanese literal pool has been established, which can successfully realize Japanese character processing function within Chinese operating systems. By extending I/O interfaces, both literal words of two countries can be input, displayed and composed simultaneously. This system provides Japanese-Chinese character input methods not only for people with good command of Japanese language, but also for those who do not know any Japanese at all.rnThe system has been commercialized, brought to public, and achieved good social influences and certain economic effects. And it received 1995 Science and Technology Progress Second Prize of Ministry of Ordnance Industry.
