With mobile users ever increasing reliance on GlobalrnNavigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), the integrity andrnrobustness of the position has becomes even more critical.rnThe Global Positioning System (GPS), for example, hasrninherent challenges in maintaining acceptablernperformance due to low received signal power inrnenvironments that are susceptible to multipath, shadowrnfading, intentional/unintentional interference, spoofing,rnetc. To counter these effects and provide for GNSSrnintegrity while also providing the ability to navigate in thernabsence of GNSS, we present a novel solution that utilizesrna broader signal set, both communication and navigationrnbased. By using signals high-power commercial cellularrnsignals such as Wideband Code Division Multiple Accessrn(WCDMA) and Long Term Evolution (LTE) inrncombination with broadcast signals such as digitalrntelevision (DTV), termed signals of opportunity (SoOP),rnit is possible to provide a much more robust navigationrncapability.
