As a policy of space control,planning of mineral resources and its environmental impact assessment (referred to as EIA of mineral resources planning) have an important prospects for the application by attributes of the 3S technology (RS remote Sensing technology,Geographical Information System and Global Positioning System technology).Under the characteristics and current situation analysis of mineral resources planning EIA,focus on the domestic analysis of the EIA technology system,put forward the framework and key problems of how to use 3S method and Technology in mineral resources planning EIA,such as the interpretation of remote sensing information,spatial information storage,creation for storage layer of vector data,analysis of the buffer partition,superimposed of raster data,partition for the assessment conclusion,tracking and positioning technology in Implementation of the EIA and other spatial analysis technologies in EIA of mineral resources planning.They provide efficient analysis of process and achievement tools for expression.
