摘要

Since Wenchuan Earthquake occurred on May 12, 2008, many parts of rivers were dammed by earthquakeinduced landslides, causing 35 major landslide lakes, 34 in Sichuan, 1 in Gansu, 1 with a storage capacity over 10 million m3, 21 with storage capacity between 100 to 10 million m3. Among the 34 landslide lakes in Sichuan province, one (Tangjiashan Landslide Lake) is on the extremely high risk level, 5 on the high risk level, 13 on the medium risk level, 15 on the lowrisk level. In addition, millions of people's lives and safety were threatened by these landslide lakes.
